In order to promote the universal development of neurosurgery and cerebrovascular disease speciality, publicize the concept of standardized and precisional treatment, and improve the overall level of diagnosis and treatment of neurosurgery, the first Shaolin International Neurosurgical Conference and 2018 Central China Cerebrovascular Disease Forum will be held at Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from November 9 to 11, 2018. In early winter, when it is still sunny and warm, we sincerely invite you to the beautiful green city in Central China to participate in this great international event.

This conference is jointly sponsored by World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (ACNS), the National Stroke Prevention and Control Commission of China, Henan Medical Association, and Henan Provincial Medical Doctor Association. JuhaH International Neurosurgical Center, Henan Provincial Cerebrovascular Hospital and Henan Provincial People's Hospital jointly organize the conference.

In December 2017, Prof. Juha Hernesniemi formally signed a contract with Henan Provincial People's Hospital to work full-time for three years in Henan Provincial People's Hospital, which marks the formal establishment of JuhaH International Neurosurgical Center in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China. This is a new attempt of the Department of Neurosurgery of Henan Provincial People's Hospital to move to the international arena. Professor JuhaH believe that the development of medical sciences cannot be separated from the inheritance, transcendence and promotion of the sciences by young people from their predecessors. The Shaolin International Neurosurgical Conference advocated by Prof. JuhaH has some distinct characteristics specific to the local culture based on the theme of Pioneering, Innovation and Cooperative Development to build a Healthy World. The purpose of the conference is to guide clinical practice with standardization, communication, and improvement. It is to set up an international academic exchange platform for basic research and clinical practice with cutting edge techniques so as to promote cooperative research, exploration and development of neurosurgery and related disciplines.

The organizing committee of this conference will invite more than 40 international neurosurgical masters at the world’s highest level, including Dolenc, Yoko Kato, Moret, Lanzino, Ali Krisht, and Kawashima. Chinese Academician Longde Wang and Academician Poo Muming and many other top domestic experts will attend the conference. The conference has eighteen forums and eight training courses incorporating various forms of communication like keynote speeches, case discussions, surgical broadcasting, training courses and thesis contest from basic theory to clinical practice, covering case analysis and the latest and most authoritative academic trends from the perspective of multi-dimension and in-depth academic exchanges and discussions on the latest developments and hot issues of related professions.

Following the theme of this conference, a special pre-conference session – the Live Operation Training Course - is designed from November 6 to 9, 2018. The Aesculap Academy continues to cooperate with Prof Juha Hernesniemi and holds the first JuhaH International Neurosurgical Master Training Course on the basis of the experience of holding fifteen Neurosurgical Master Training Courses from Aesculap Academy.

With your participation and joint efforts, the first Shaolin International Neurosurgical Conference and 2018 Central China Cerebrovascular Disease Forum (SINC&CCDF) will become a high-quality, cutting-edge international academic event.
